When it comes to a woman and her career, her aspirations become her best friend. Today, we get into a  conversation with Nishtha Goel, designer and owner of Tripti’s Exclusive, a brand of handmade: precious, semi-precious and custom jewellery!

The brand has been established in 2013, and hence has been a provider of high-end high quality handmade jewellery. When it comes to jewellery, women tend to become weak at knees and the flamboyant creations of Tripti’s Exclusive by Nishtha Goel is one such brand in jewellery .

In this new series, Women and their Best Friends, we interview the lady of the day – Nishtha Goel and her much found love in designing and making Terracotta Jewellery!

DQ: How consumer friendly is Terracotta Jewellery for women?

NG: Terracotta jewellery is one of the most consumer friendly jewellery available in the market today, as it not only comes in a variety of designs and colors, giving the consumer a wide variety of options to choose from, it also is pocket friendly and hence, allows the consumer to pick up more options and pieces that fit in their budget and lastly it also helps them to be in sink with the latest fashion trend.

DQ: In today’s time diamonds and gold jewellery is being used less as compared to other kinds. How has the market reacted to this change of taste?

NG: Well Yes! We see people wearing less of gold and diamonds these days because of (a) the hike in prices when it comes to gold and diamonds, and (b) nothing is constant in the fashion industry, it keeps evolving and changing, and use of less of bling in terms of diamonds and gold is one of the major changes that have hit the industry and I must say, that the market is reacting well to it. you have wide variety of options available that compensate for the usual traditional jewelry. For instance, my brand Tripti’s Excluisve alone sells four different kinds of hand crafted jewelry, which includes terracotta, paper quilling, semi precious beaded jewelry and silver plated wire wrapped jewelry.

DQ: Did u start making terracotta jewellery? What made you indulge in the same?

NG: I started making terracotta jewelry in the year 2013, it just happened to me, I had seen quiet a lot of terracotta pieces during my visit to one of the cities in the southern part of the country, I was intrigued seeing the craftmanship and thought that even I could make something similar, and as they say, ‘an idea can change your life’, this was the one that changed mine.

DQ: A lot of women like jewellery with details. How do you manage too look after that?

NG: If you pick up any of my pieces, you will find that each one has a lot of intricate details in terms of the design etching, the use of colors and also the use of other materials that are glued on the jewelry. I feel my work is quiet detailed, as I myself am fond of detailed pieces of jewels.
